The Sahyadri Institute of Health Science was founded in 2002, under the aegis of Bhandary Foundation®, with the vision of enabling the younger generation to enter into the noble nursing profession as fully qualifies professionals. Since inception, the Bhandary Foundation has been at the forefront of service to society through varied avenues like sponsoring education institutions, undertaking social work, promotion of sports and creating health awareness among the younger generation through programmes, seminars conferences, mainly in HIV / AIDS

The Sahyadri Institute of Health sciences is a premier Nursing Educational Institution located in the heart of Managalore in Karnataka, housed in a large building and in decked with adequate infrastructure including spacious classrooms, well equipped labs, auditorium, Audio-visual aids, staff rooms . The library is well stocked with all the latest books, journals, magazines, CD ROM's etc.

In this era of globalization, both formal and informal education play an increasingly vital role in promoting economic solidarity, social cohesion and individual growth, leading to a congenial and healthy environment.Even after six decades since independence, education is acknowledged as the main thrust area. Sri Manjunath Bhandary  a philanthropist, social worker and an Educationist decided to address this cause. He had the vision to establish educational institutions which will disperse the seeds of knowledge and build a more intelligent society. It was this noble zeal which led to the establishment of Bhandary Foundation in..the..year..2002.
